Unlike many clients, the Center for Agriculture, Resource and Environmental Systems (CARES) is not short on staff with technical knowledge. What CARES needed was someone who could help them to better communicate their message. The project deliverables were to be a website design and page templates that their staff could assemble into webpages and, almost more importantly, copywriting.
The process involved quite a few meetings with the CARES staff in which we presented with the findings of what we believed to represent them. Once we were on the right track, I created the design and had the rare opportunity to do an extensive amount of writing.
The primary challenge in writing for them was to be able to distill their wide-ranging abilities and great technical knowledge into succinct content that is accessible to any visitor.
* Agency Work: This project was produced while working as Interactive Director at an agency in Mid-Missouri. All agency work that I display, unless noted, was executed by me from concept to design and code.
